About
For the second part of her walk Liz McManus tackles a challenging route of river walks and forest in Durrow, Co.Laois. The trail head begins near the gates of Durrow Castle and meanders in a loop around the town taking in the highest vantage point in the area, the Ballagh. During her walk on this leafy loop Liz hikes a woodland path that loops around to the River Nore where local historian Sean Conroy accompanies her to the top of the Ballagh. The views from here in all directions are stunning and this walk is approximatley 16km long.
