North Dublin Trail 1
In this programme broadcaster and walker, Jim Sherwin explores the streets of his native Dublin. The route will bring him over familiar and unfamilair ground as he traverses the north side of the city from the Bull Wall in Dollymount along the coast road to the National Botanic Gardens in Glasnevein Dublin 9.
Human history is an ever present companion and distinct pleasure on this city walk and along the way Jim meets local Clontarf Heritage historian Collette Gill. After following the coast along the Clontarf Road, Jim reaches a crescent of houses which was built in 1792 and stops at number 15 where on 4th November Bram Stoker the creator of Dracula was born.
